Victorias dress was one of my favorite casual Victorian dresses, and to try on this mini size of it I couldn’t have loved it more, the ends were pretty heavy but I’d still wear it with the right shoes

Omg I stalked this site back and forth for months looking at this dress, trying to not give in but when she arrived on our Australian shores I was overwhelmed with how well it is made and how beautiful it was totally beyond my expectations, I am normally a xl in vixen but was a little unsure of la femme sizing in comparison so I sixed up 2xl and I'm totally happy sits well looks beautiful, first outing a funeral and it was classy not over the top. I will be back to buy the black one in the same design, a total winner

This dress is beautiful. It’s thick and very heavy, but not in an uncomfortable way. It’ll be great for fall because it’s very warm. The size chart is spot on. Love the pockets!

I love this dress. I often sew for myself, but have struggled with time lately. This dress is perfect - it gives me the gothic Victorian aesthetic I love whilst being super comfortable. It has a good weight to it, and the swoosh effect is on point.

This may be my new favorite dress! So comfortable, fits so well and is so well-constructed. Just gorgeous!

Unexpected! I'm in between sizes & choices to size down to an L. I'm glad I did. It fits comfortably, even the sleeves. That was my main concern since my upper arm is usually my trouble spot when I size down on garments with long sleeves. My other concern was the boxiness on top. I have a short neck and a large chest, a v neck is flattering on me, turtle neck? Not so much. But, this dress has shoulder pads and some ruffle inside the the base of the sleeves to keepthe shape. That's what makes it so square. The shoulder pads are easily removable, which I did, and now I really like this dress. The fabric is not thick, but it is layered (dress+ lining) and 2 added partial layers of ruffles at the bottom, makes this dress heavy in weight. Definitely not a summer dress. I was super hesitant, but I got the blackfriday fever & got it. I'm glad I did. The pictures on the website don't do this dress justice! The color, the velvet ribbon on the bottom, all the quality details that makes this dress worth it are missed from the pictures on the site.
My main feedback for the company in general is the pictures. Nice & artsy, but they do a real disservice when it comes to display all the details and finesse that this clothing line has to offer.

this was my first time ordering from La Femme En Noir and i couldn’t be happier with my purchase. not only does it fit perfectly, but it’s by far the most well-made item of clothing i own. thank you so much!

Absolutely love this dress, got the black too and I'm short at 5'3 so it reaches my calves which is perfect for me

So comfortable! The fit is super nice with a bit of stretch so I can be comfy all day. Plus pockets. Win win.

This dress is REALLY well made—fully lined, with pockets, nice thick fabric. I wear a 16-18 and I was a little worried it would be too snug, but it fits perfectly; you can tell it’s properly graded for plus sizes. I’m really happy with this dress.

Very flattering on. Has some weight to it. Pockets a good size. I ordered a M. I'm 5'6" 31.5in waist 162lbs. Dress ended near bottom of my calves. Neck is comfortable, but you can adjust it if need be by opening the front hidden clasp. If you do, you will still have the high neck look just with a little v opening in the front. Skirt to bodice is a princess cut and it sits above the fupa area so it keeps it hidden. I do not have large chesty besties so if you do maybe size up? The bodice is cut so that there is room for the girls but it might be hard to zip the dress up. Really love the quality of this dress!
