I originally got a small per the advice of the company after I shared my measurements, and it was nearly hanging off of me, definitely too big. I sized down to XS, figuring that would fit me fine considering how big the S was on me. Nope, it squeezed my ribs while fitting perfectly everywhere else, which is definitely why customer service told me to go with S (which was a good call on their part, and I appreciated the help). I guess I'll just have to deal with not breathing right when I wear it, as the S looked really bad on me, but the XS at least looks correct. It's a beautiful dress! It looks great on; I don't think you could really tell it's too tight in the ribs from looking at it. I just wish there were a size that fit me right. Dress shopping can kind of be a nightmare for me with form-fitting stuff because I have to accommodate the skeletal structure of my ribs and shoulders, where there's no wiggle room or weight loss that can happen. I wish there were half sizes like with shoes, lol.

Been listing after this dress forever and it is just perfect! I’m a 38/28/38 and a Medium fits great. I actually prefer it without a bra. It’s a smidge long but I’m pretty short (5’1) so that’s to be expected.

The dress is gorgeous. I measure 36-27.5/28-36 and while I have a squishy waist, it's a little snug. I sized down to a small because I don't have a large bust or hips and I thought the medium would be too big in these areas. I might hem it and take it in around the hips but the dress is still great as is.

I love this dress. It is perfect and very beautifully made. As the other reviews on the website suggested I ordered one size down. I usually wear size L or XL (40-32-42) so I went for the L, which fitted perfectly. The material is very flattering and stretchy and the lining is super soft. The color is a little bit more purple-lish than on the pictures, but that makes it honestly even prettier. The zipper is very sturdy, I needed a hand from a friend to close it the first time! Overall this is one of the best dresses I ever bought. I will order from you again soon!

I was a little apprehensive of spending 200.00 on this dress, generally things now days are JUNK...even if you spend decent money, but I was so delighted, the dress fits like a glove the quality is extremely high with a wonderful lining. Only thing I can say is the zipper in the back gets stuck a little bit but the fabric quality and style are everything I had hoped for . Looking forward to purchasing more. The A plus is it is made in USA ........Only issue I have now is a place to wear this lovely gem....

I'm normally a M in Micheline's designs but after reading reviews, I sized down to a S. The waist had some stretch but I did order an extra belt in a M though as I doubt the belt in small would have fitted ! I like that it's not too plunging a neckline and that it can be worn slightly off the shoulders for a 'fin del siecle' look. The ponte lining helps give a smooth line and it means that I don't have to wear shapewear.
For reference I'm 5'4 UK 12 (34-30-39).

As usual La Femme/Vixen, it is high quality and well made, hugging all the curves. I'm 5'4" with a 38-31-42 and the Large fit perfectly and hits right below the knee. I've never had a velvet dress before so this is a real treat to own. It's so elegant. In the words of George Costanza "I would drape myself in velvet if it were socially acceptable." Take your birth control ladies! This dress is hotter than Palm Springs in July! I'm 5'3", 43/35/43 with a 36H bust and the XL fits perfectly. There is some room in the hips still as well. The velvet is super luxe and has a little stretch to it. The belt fits on the second to last hole . You won't regret it!
