Didn't meet expectations. I got it in xs, it fits more like a medium. Disappointing. Shoulders are too big and kept falling down, also loose in the waist. The capelet doesn't fit right, too much fabric in the neck area, i look swallowed up. Quite bummed.

This dress is phenomenal. It is SO comfortable and so beautiful. It is literally the dress I've always wanted!
I followed the instructions and sized down to an XL- my measurements are 45"-36"-47". It fits very well. The cape is unreal -just so beautiful and so well-designed, it really sits on your shoulders, the collar stands up to hide my double chin and it does not itch or hurt anywhere.
I have thoughts about the design of course - I am an hourglass figure with big lipedema arms, and modern style Leg of Mutton sleeves tend to come in at the bicep. While the fabric is stretchy, the classic flaring to the elbow would be more flattering for us bigger girls. I feel the same way about my Sleepy Hollow dress in the lace-front Betsey-homage style, and it's why I haven't bought the black velour one.
I also don't love the gathering at the natural waist of so many La Femme dresses - I thought this one would have more of a dropped waist, but it fits neatly enough at the waist I don't mind.
Overall, I am incredibly grateful and glad to have this dress, bought for my 57th birthday on Jan. 8!

I love the color, quality and style of the dress. However, I think it runs large. I’m usually a small or xsmall, so I ordered an xs and it’s still a little big around the waist and bust. Still an awesome dress though!

I love this dress and find myself excited for winter for once! The color is amazing. The only caveat is that the zipper is a little finicky because of how thick the fabric is.

Fits exactly as the chart described! The fabric feels like a good weight and not thin or cheap. I was worried there would be bits that might itch or scratch but that's not the case! The fabric is so soft and feels like butter on the skin. It also has lots of room to stretch or get tailored if needed and seems to be sewn pretty sturdy.
As for the overall look. I am over the moon! They outdone themselves replicating Lucille's dress. I ran to my art book to compare the differences and am so excited how close it matches the original piece. This collection is a must for the nerds who obsess over the costuming in the film! I'm so happy I can have a piece of my own in my house that's not too identical to an Edwardian gown and still wearable for a night out in hopes other admirers recognize my nod to my favorite film. A 10/10!
