I've worn a 2X for about a decade and this is the smallest 2X I've ever tried. I couldn't get it to zip, though the waist size seems good, the bust is impossible. Ordering up would be way too big in the waist. It seems like the material (heavy, stiff) is good quality, there's a lot of it so of you're petite and looking for a light summer dress, this is not it. Pretty pattern.

This dress is very stiff, but not in a bad way. I am usually a medium but went up to a large in this dress. It is so beautiful, I can't wait to wear it again. I love criss crossing the straps for a better fit.

I LOVED the idea of this dress: the glorious print, the sundress design, the full skirt, the lace-up bodice, the cotton fabric.
And then it arrived, and even though I ordered up a size (which has always worked for me with La Femme en Noir), it was too small. Like couldn't zip it, couldn't lace it too small. (Also, the fabric ended up being a lot heavier and stiffer than I expected, more of a canvas weight and feel than a nice smooth poplin, which wasn't ideal.) And it wasn't possible to size up further. Heartbroken, I had to return it.
I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to see this print return in other items! Maybe it could become a seasonal special edition. And maybe in a wider variety of styles and fabrics.
But the customer service around my return was excellent, and I remain very happy with LFeN overall. I'm just so sad this particular dress didn't work out.

WOW. This dress fits amazingly, and I wish I could buy this fabric - it’s the cotton sateen of my sewing dreams! I love it with all my heart.

The dress fabric is very thick and dense, but pretty comfortable. Corset part comes undone and there is a modesty panel.
The print is absolutely gorgeous!
The straps are long so make sure you cross them!

I ordered down and when I learned that I might need to size up, the larger size was sold out. I am glad I stayed with the smaller size. It is snatched but this is such high quality fabric. It is thick and heavy and the print is beautifully designed. I loved the free gift such a nice surprise to get sunglasses.
