This dress is very well-made and cinches you in. I am 5'6" and usually fluctuate between sizes 18-22. I got this in a 3xl and found it fit well after adjusting the lacing in the front. Lots of support in the front (44DD). I would have more wiggle room if I sized up but, I'm happy with the dramatic look the 3xl gives me. There is not an abundance of stretch in this so be wary of that. It is an appropriate length and does not lift high when I bend over. The arms are not tight and did not feel like I would split a seam moving around.

I sized down from my usual L to a M. Bust 34g fullest part 40, waist fluctuates between 30 - 33, and hips are 44 inches. I was a bit hesitant of this dress because my arms are quite muscular. Try to avoid garments that'll make me look more stocky. This dress is just so flattering. I can wear it braless no problem. The pockets are deep. Thank you fellow vixens who shared your measurements and photos in the Salon. That is really what made me try this dress!

Really lovely dress. The design is flattering and the material very soft. The zipper catches a bit at the waistline (probably because the gathers put stress on it) but otherwise very well constructed.

Fantastic dress! Love the victorian gothic meets 1950s with its dramatic sleeves and full skirt. Not only is it true to size but the stretchy velvet fabric is very forgiving. I’m 5'7 and the hem ends at knee-length. My measurements are 39" bust and 32" waist and I went with my usual Large which fit perfect.

I'm really glad I decided not to follow all the reviews that talk about the sizing being generous; my measurements match the 2X almost exactly, and this is on the edge of being too small. And it looked like the waist was slightly dropped--not dipped, but set a bit lower--and it's not; I have a low waist and the dipped point of the waist just barely reaches my natural waist, while the rest of the waist sits somewhat high. All that said, it's outlandishly flattering (once I get the waistline settled) and the fabric is cozy and just stretchy enough. I think it might be slightly better in a true stretch velvet but that's a minor consideration. I'd love to see this design made in more solid colors, or some neutral stripes or even a glen plaid. That would be a knockout.

This dress is PERFECT for colder weather as it's quite warm but still comfortable. I can't say enough wonderful things about the design of this dress; the lacing detail, the sleeves, or the curve of the waist seam.

Thanks to the lounge for their fit feedback, I sized down a size. I’m a 39-29-39 and the small fits perfectly! It’s soft, has huge pockets! It does leave black lint on your armpits but I’m sure once it’s laundered that shouldn’t be an issue anymore.

I originally ordered an XL because the measurements on the site were mine exactly! I tried it on once it came in and I was swimming in it, I ended up exchanging it for a M. Beautiful dress but unfortunate because this is the second time that a dress runs larger compared to the measurements they have posted.
