I’ll admit how nervous I was to purchase this dress. I’m a larger girl with a stomach and a large chest, so I was worried how the ruching and low neckline might accentuate the parts of me that I’m not too kind about. I shouldn’t have worried. The moment I put this dress on (no makeup, no shapewear, no bra or tape; I only put lipstick on to take a photo!) I felt like a femme fatale and so sexy. I’ve never felt like that in a dress before! The material is like the softest butter-meets-silk I’ve ever felt, and the arms are tight enough to make you feel sucked in without being constricting. But the rest of the dress is incredibly comfortable. You feel accentuated and curvy, but nothing in any way this is constricting or tight. For such a comfortable dress I thought you might lose structure, but not so!
The zipper is sturdy and I had no troubles putting the dress on on my own. The lining ensures there are no lines for undergarments, but it doesn’t weigh down the dress or make it feel heavy. I could probably wear this during the summer with little overheating. Maybe not a sweltering day at high noon, but it’s so cool and comfortable I could definitely wear it in evenings, afternoons, and in the winter.
But the neckline and ruching!! That is what MAKES this dress. The neckline is definitely not for the faint of heart, and I will have to find a proper bra or tape to have a proper shape on the bustline. But due to my waistline, I had to pick the 4X. The waist fits like a glove but the bust is larger and I could have likely used the 3X for the bust to stay tight around my chest. But that is nothing a good plunge bra or tape won’t fix, and certainly no downfall of the dress.
The ruching that I was most worried about actually hides what I was nervous for and accentuates my waist and curves. This dress is truly an icon of design! I feel like Vampira, Morticia, and all the Bond ladies wrapped into one dress, a feat I never thought possible. I cannot wait to wear this to every occasion and tell everyone where it came from.
If you’re a busty woman with a stomach like me, no need to worry. This dress is all of my dreams come true in one. And I love it so much!

I'm a standard size 2XL and this piece fits like an absolute dream. Although the fabric is stretchy you should stick to your usual size in order to get those perfect details on the waist and hips. I swear this gown is as comfortable as wearing your most soft PJ's!! It's AMAZING!!!

Great dress! Usually fit between and medium and large and the medium was perfect. Tempted to get the other colours!

Ok so let me preface this with: it does run a bit big, but if you have a larger chest like I do (32H UK), you can't afford to size down. And yes, it's long, but Micheline designed it so that hemming won't change any of the draping or details (so my 5'3.75 self needs to have it taken up).
Anyway, this dress is dramatic and completely awesome. I bought it to wear on my 35th birthday, and it's perfect. The material is comfy, and more importantly, I don't need shape wear. Now I can't go braless in it at my size, but I will have it sewn up just a bit in the front so I can wear it with a bra. If I thought I could pull off the burgundy, I'd get that one too. It's a lovely dress! Get one, you won't regret it!
