Sumptuously crafted from custom crinkled chiffon, this opulent column gown exudes effortless glamour. The deep, midnight hue of black adds a touch of refinement to its elegant silhouette. Every inch of the chiffon is expertly gathered, creating a delicate and ethereal texture. The collar, sleeve cuffs, and yoke are adorned with double-layered ruffles for a lavish touch. Raw edges add to the natural, organic look of the gown, which is fully lined with a butter-soft knit lining. The dramatic gigot sleeves are adorned with  tulle for added volume, while decadent ruching cinches in at the lower part. Faux black pearls embellish the inner sleeves, while the cuffs are trimmed with a delicate ruffled cotton cluny lace. La Femme En Noir ships QUICK. This is my second purchase from them and I’m just as impressed by the speedy arrival! I’m a true medium. Waist measures 30ish inches, and for reference in their Marilyn lace gown, I wore a medium. For this gown, I definitely could have sized down to a small. However, this dress isn’t meant to give you much shape, and the longer I wear it, I’m thinking I might actually be glad it’s not tighter in the arms or neck line. I there’s definitely space between my armpits and the sleeve, but again I’m starting to think that may be better. Order your true size or size down and you should be good!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five Stars — Held Up to Dracula-Level Chaos! I bought this dress to wear in a theater production of Dracula and it exceeded every expectation! It survived a full week of intense nightly rehearsals plus two full performance weekends, blood, fights, running, and all! My role was extremely physical and this dress still allowed me to move comfortably while looking perfectly period-accurate. The fabric held up wonderfully, washed well, and never restricted me, even during the more… dramatically messy scenes! 🩸 If you need a costume piece that can endure a bit of theatrical mayhem, this is the one. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. This dress is a scream!

Love it. I enjoyed the film and knew I had to purchase this once it was available. I contacted customer service regarding sizing because, initially, there was a measurement error listed. This was back when the dress was in its initial release. I have no trouble moving my arms. I did wear it on a rather warm day but I was not overheated. Happy with my purchase. Survived a machine wash on delicate cycle with no agitator. Only washed it once so far, might be tempting the fates to continue that.

The detailing on this dress is exquisite! I was wearing it outside on an 80° day and was surprisingly quite comfortable and not sweating. I also could wear cuddleduds under for winter and stay warm. It's so beautiful. I was scared putting it on, trying to ensure that my arms were a good fit. I think sizing up is best to ensure no issues with arms. I got a large, and I think I'm measuring just under 14 inches relaxed bicep. I've been standing in it writing this review and I think it relaxed ever so slightly. I like it better with the hands belt than the one ribbon belt it comes with personally. About 5'6 and it's not dragging on the floor but definitely close enough where I'd pick it up before walking through water of course.
