Amazing belt! My waist fluctuates between 33-35, I went with XL and it’s perfect! Size is adjustable, I could wear it on my waist, and then adjust and wear on my hips. Rather heavy, but a great quality piece. Great customer service- original belt arrived broken, but customer service sent a replacement with no problem. The response to exchange inquiry did take 3+ business days, as stated on the website it is their standard timeline, but customer service was very friendly and sent out a replacement immediately. The clasped hands was originally created in the Victorian era and later adopted by Elsa Schiaparelli in her 1934 Fall/Winter show as a nod to the surrealism art movement. This belt had a resurgence of popularity in the 70's proving how timeless this belt truly is. Vintage versions are very sought after.
We have taken care to replicate the iconic 1970's Victorian revival belt with hands crafted from a sturdy metal alloy base. The front prong closure clasps the hands together whilst the thick genuine leather belt has 3 sets of adjustable snaps to give it an updated versatility and size inclusion from size XS-4X

I purchased the Antique Pewter Hand Belt. It is absolutely Beautiful. The hands are made with a heavy metal & they attach to a leather belt. The belt is size adjustable. Shipping was quick. Extremely pleased with this purchase! Highly recommend this belt.

The belt is beautifully crafted and has a solid, heavy feel. I usually wear a medium, but I ordered a large so I could position it lower on my hips. The leather itself is thicker and bulkier than I prefer, though I understand it needs that structure to support the weight. I do wish there were a harness-style option so the weight wasn’t concentrated in the center, and if I could change anything, I’d make the hands a bit smaller. I do appreciate that it comes in separate pieces with extra hardware included.

Beautiful belt. Worth the wait. Like others have said, it is two right hands instead of left and right but still gorgeous. Heavy weight. I am concerned about the prong that fits into the hole in one of the hands to connect the two sides. I'm hoping it holds up over time, will see. I got a 3x and have a 38 inch waist. Fits fine. Def use the size chart. I usually wear a 2X. Other than those concerns, the belt is beautiful and the packaging is equally beautiful. I recommend.

I absolutely adore this belt. Cannot count the amount of compliments I’ve received since getting it. I am generally a size 3X and my waist is 47 inches. I ordered the 5X, and it is super adjustable so I can make it larger to wear lower at my hips or smaller to wear around my waist! Bonus points for stellar customer service after I received a broken latch and they sent a new one promptly no extra charge and were very lovely to talk to. I’m happy to recommend and support this business!

I got this belt to pair with the Dark Romance Satin Bustle Dress for an upcoming Halloween wedding, and I’m absolutely obsessed! I’ve already worn it out once and received so many compliments. I usually wear a medium, but I went with a large for this one, and it fits perfectly, especially with the adjustable design that lets you customize the fit to your liking.
I am extremely pleased with this belt. I was initially undecided between the gunmetal and the antique pewter finishes but I’m very glad I chose the antique pewter. It strikes a perfect balance, being neither too bright nor too dark. This is actually the second belt I purchased; I previously ordered the brass version and was equally impressed. Delivery to Toronto, Canada took just 8 days which exceeded my expectations. While the import duties came to approximately $44 I consider this a worthwhile investment- it’s a timeless piece that I expect to wear for many years to come.

very very cute!! im usually a 22/24 (or 4x) but sometimes i size up or down depending on the product measurements/fit. i ordered the belt in a 5x based on the waist measurements and its perfect. at first it was a little tight but them i adjusted both sides of the belt and it fit like a glove (no pun intended)! im happy to have purchased this with the sale price but the full price would be worth it as well since its a well made and adjustable item!! ill def buy the bronze/gold version in the future!!

This belt is everything! I’ve been on the hunt for a Victorian hand belt with 2 hands and I found the holy grail right here. It’s 2 inch wide leather that’s sturdy and adjustable. I’m glad I erred on the side of sizing up (accounting for clothing under the belt adding an inch or more to my waist circumference) and it’s perfect. It even comes with replacement snaps and hook in case they need to be replaced. Thank you La Femme En Noir for this belt!
I love this belt! The leather is really thing and the metal components feel heavy and high quality. I wasn’t sure about the size but it ended up being very adjustable. My slight only issue is with the thumb of the bottom hand. It seems to be angled downward too much for my body and digs a bit into my stomach. This won’t be a problem for most as I have sensory issues and I’m sensitive to that. This gets better if I wear it looser , but for tighter, I think I’ll have to sand it down. Overall though, it’s amazing.

I am obsessed with all things Victorian mourning, particularly the symbolism behind hands, so this belt feels like it was made for me! I love the antique pewter color; the silver is too light and the gunmetal is too dark, but the antique pewter is perfect. I also appreciate that the belt is made with real leather because it is better for the environment than faux leather and should last a long time. I do wish the hands were more lightweight, but it’s not a super big deal to me. Overall, I am quite pleased with this purchase!
